California Public Art Commissions 1992-2003

ARTech Building, 2102 Milvia Street, Berkeley, CA. Three mosaic benches for the front of the building, inspired by California animals: Bear, Lizard and Raccoon. Designed in collaboration with a commission of architects.

Peralta Community Garden, 1608 Action Street, Berkeley, CA. Three mosaic Snake benches designed for community garden. Built in collaboration with community leaders, the gardeners association, and diverse volunteers.

Century Center Court, 100 Century Center Court, San Jose, CA. A series of wall sculpture panels designed to enhance the modern interior of an office building entry court.

St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church, 5200 Diamond Heights Blvd., San Francisco, CA. Successfully reconstructed a large stained glass mural from a handful of fragments. Built to the church leaders' specification.

Civic Feline Clinic, 2030 N. Broadway, Walnut Creek, CA. Created a large stained glass mural as a sign for the entryway to a cat clinic in San Jose.

Bryer Elementary School, 39201 Sundale Drive, Fremont, CA. In conjunction with the students, designed and built hand-painted ceramic tile mosaics for the exterior yard and building columns, entitled Pyramid and Sundial.

Azeveda Elementary School, 39450 Royal Palm, Fremont, CA. In conjunction with the students, designed and built a ceramic tile mosaic for the exterior grounds.

Uzbekistan Public Art Commissions 1976-1992
Often in collaboration with other artists and architects, Dmitry worked full-time designing large-scale murals, sculptures and stained glass panels for public gardens, community centers, restaurants and office buildings in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, USSR. As a well-known artist, he participated in many local and national art exhibitions, and taught a variety of art forms to both adults and children.
